Craft Fairs on the Village Green

Throughout the summer, the Fishers Island Conservancy can be found at the Island craft fairs, sharing our work, answering questions, and connecting with the community.

We set up a table with Conservancy merchandise, educational materials, and something interesting to explore, whether that is maps, photos, or information about ongoing projects around the island. It is a great chance to learn more about Fishers Island’s natural resources and the work being done to protect them.

The craft fairs are made possible by Island People’s Project and take place on Saturdays during July and August on the Village Green. The fairs typically run from around 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and feature vendors from the island.

Conservancy staff and volunteers are always happy to chat, whether you have a specific question or just want to learn more about what we do. Island Sentinels often join us as well, helping share observations from the field and talk about what they are learning through the program.

If you see us at the craft fair, stop by and say hello. We would love to meet you, answer your questions, and share more about how we care for Fishers Island.

You can learn more about the craft fairs through the Island People’s Project website.
